Fans asset that can open/close for VRCHAT

This is a fan asset for VRChat that lets you open and close them easily using 3 different control types. This makes them great for dancing, role playing, or being stylish with them. You can also put memes on them! It is pretty funny opening the fan and showing some meme stuff that is on it.

Asset Specifications

The fan 3d model is 3324 polygons and 1 material.

Included prefabs:

• Laziest fastest set up
  • Uses 2 parameters, 9 synced bits and one materials
• Fan without In-Game Adjustable Contact
  • Uses 2 parameters, 9 synced bits and one materials
• Fan with In-Game Adjustable Contact
  • Uses 7 parameters, 42 synced bits and 2 materials

A few different materials/textures are included with the fan. The uv mapping of the fan model is very simple, so if you want to add your own image/design on the paper or the wooden slats, that should be easy to do in any 2D image editing program (e.g. photoshop, gimp, krita, paint).

Prerequisite/Requirements

You'll need the following components to properly set up the asset on your avatar:

• VRChat Creator Companion
• VRChat Creator Companion project that has added the following packages:
  • VRChat SDK - Base
  • VRChat SDK - Avatars
  • VRCFury
  • GestureManager

The asset should support any avatar base.

Installation

There are a guide with pictures guiding on the different methods of setting up the fans:

• Laziest fastest set up - this shows you how to install the fan prefab. Fastest set up, but got less features. This is probably all that most will need.
  
• Fan control types guide - this shows you how the different fan control types work.
• Set up guide Fan without In-Game Adjustable Contact - this shows you how to install the fully featured fan prefab in Unity3d.
• Set up guide Fan with In-Game Adjustable Contact - this shows you how to install the fully featured fan prefab, but the part of setting up the feature that lets you "curl your finger" to open the fan is done in-game and not in Unity3d.
• Adjusting contact receiver for fan prefab - this shows you how to use the "radial menu" to make the "curl your finger to open the fan" feature work.

Essentially, use the "Laziest fastest set up" prefab for easy fast setup with less features.  use the "Set up guide Fan without In-Game Adjustable Contact" for an optimized asset that got all the features if you are willing to fine tune adjustments of it in Unity before uploading. And use "Set up guide Fan with In-Game Adjustable Contact" if you want to do fine tuning of the "curl your finger to open the fan" in-game;

The fans include a contact receiver that allows players with basic finger tracking (such as on the Valve Index controllers) to control how much the fans are open/closed by how much of a fist pose the finger is. E.g.: Curl the index finger inward more and the fan opens more. The fans need to be in "control proximity mode" and the contact receiver needs to be positioned correctly for this to work. The guides explain this in more detail.

2. You CAN upload publicly clonable avatars from this product in applications such as VRChat and ChilloutVR.
3. You CAN NOT share this product, modifications of this product, anything containing parts of this product and anything derived from this product with persons who do not own this product.
4. You CAN share and sell assets made for this product, as long as your customers need to own this product to use yours.
5. You CAN commission someone to individually modify this product for you. You CAN provide the product to the commissioned person ONLY under the condition, that the commissioned person uses the product ONLY for the purpose of completing the commission. Any personal use or further redistribution is prohibited for the commissioned person. You are responsible for the commissioned person to comply. This is an exception to term 3.
6. You CAN NOT use this product for commercial purposes. Streaming, V-Tubing, Online Videos and such, even if Ad supported or a timed exclusive for up to a month, and comparable uses are excluded from this rule.
7. You CAN NOT use this product for malicious purposes, including but not limited to: causing harm, hate speech and defamation.
